A foot trail can be seen on the old railroad bed behind a house on South Road in Candia, a short distance beyond Adams Road. However this house has been built so close to the center of the railroad bed, that it is not clear whether trail users would be allowed to cross this house lot to enter or leave the rail-trail. Note that the owner of the house across South Road  has clearly closed all access to the old railroad bed and posted signs to reinforce that trail closure. Note that the nearby lightly traveled Adams Road can be used as a bypass route.

The trail appears to be open for a short distance west of Route 43, possibly to allow occasional vehicle access to the rear of  the house lots along Adams Road. The trail is blocked by numerous large trees between Route 43 and Candia Station, but trail users on the Adams Road bypass can continue to Main St., and others can use the adjacent Stump Street.

Candia Station is junction with the the State-owned Portsmouth Branch Rail-trail that runs between the outskirts of Manchester (Route I-93) and Rockingham Junction (Newmarket-Newfields Line at Route 108).

Parking Limited parking is available on the site of Candia Station on Main Street.

Limited groceries and refreshments are available at a gas & convenience store about a quarter mile south of Candia Station via the Portsmouth Branch Rail-trail then over Main Street to the intersection of Route 43. When checked in 1998, this store did not offer toilet facilities to its customers.

No other trail facilities were observed in the vicinity of Candia!
