Trail users should enter the trail at the southwest (back) corner of the shed that is next to the Depot. This trail runs across the back of the shed, turns south at the Depot then immediately forks in two directions:

Because the Windham-Fremont segment of the Rail-Trail is not shown on the Mapblast Maps, trail users must note that the trail parallels Windham Depot Road east to Route 28, crossing just north of the intersection. The Rail-trail to Fremont is shown on the topographic map northeast of the Stark Road crossing.

An unmarked trail occupies the railroad bed that runs northwest of Depot Road. Since the Derry town line is nearby, this trail must be a State owned connection to the Derry Rail-trail. Note that the ATV map indicates that ATV and trail bikes are prohibited northwest of Windham Depot!

"Street Legal" trail users that wish to reach the potential Windham Rail-trail must travel south on Depot and Lowell Roads to cross under I-93, then use Beacon Hill Road to return to the railroad bed.

Hiking Trail Bicycle Trail Horse Trail Cross-Country Skiing Simple trail access is available at the following points:
