Trail Parking is available
east of the western terminus
of the trail on Route 11 and 103. Additional parking may be available on an
informal basis on weekends at The Claremont Center. Still more parking is
presumably available on an informal basis at the shopping centers, in areas that
do not inconvenience customers.
Several restaurants and a
large grocery store
are located in the shopping centers a short distance west of the
end of the trail. Public toilets and water are presumably
available upon request at the restaurants and the grocery store.
The Community
Transportation Services bus stop is located at
K-mart in the nearby shopping center. The Claremont
Intown Route operates several trips within Claremont on
weekdays. The Claremont-Newport Route operates 5
round trips between Downtown Claremont via Route 11 & 103 to
Newport on weekdays. No evening or weekend service is available.
Bikes are not accommodated on the buses.
The Amtrak
train Vermonter stops at Claremont Junction on a daily basis,
about 4 miles west of the Claremont Parking Area. Amtrak schedules are also
available on the DVARP
Web Site. Note that bicycles are not handled at Claremont!
