House on site of Danbury Depot - Digital photograph by Kenyon F. Karl - March 4, 1998
The remains of the station platform establishes the location of the Danbury Depot. A sign hangs from a post near the house with the words 'Danbury Depot', however the private residence adjacent to that platform shows none of the architectural characteristics that are usually associated with railroad stations. The Rail-trail runs alongside the south side of this building.
The heavy layer of crushed rock railroad ballast that greatly discourages warm weather trail use ends somewhere between the High Street crossing and the Ford Mill Road crossing. Accordingly, the trail is open for year-around usage northwest of the Ford Mill Road crossing.

Danbury Station (Turnpike Rd)
Ford Mill Road, about 2.2 miles northwest of Danbury
Zaccaria Road, about 2.7 miles northwest of Danbury
Two convenience stores with gasoline are located across the highway from the site of the Danbury Depot. An outdoor telephone Booth was observed at the store on the south side of the Route 104 intersection.
The Post Office, Library, two restaurants, an inn and a motel are within a short distance of the Danbury Depot via Route 104.
Very limited parking is available during the warm weather months at the Ford Mill Road and Zaccaria Road crossings.
