Londonderry Trailways maintains its own Web Site with current information about the Londonderry section of the rail-trail, as well as the activities that are intended to improve the current condition of the trail. This organization is also interested in a variety of other trail projects within the town limits.

The Londonderry Depot was presumably located at the Mammoth Road crossing, since that must have been the main road through the area at the time that the railroad was built.
When the Webmaster checked the trail on August 13, 1998 and July 21, 1999, the year-round trail clearly ended at the Route 28 Crossing near Sanborn Street. The rails and ties were still in place between the Route 28 crossing and the Harvey Road Crossing, rendering that section unsuitable for anything but snow season usage. Note that this railroad right-of-way has recently been purchased by the NH Department of Transportation, and will presumably be turned over to the NH-DRED Bureau of Trails to be administered as a recreational trail.
The rail-trail can not be extended beyond Harvey Road due to a chain link fence erected by the Manchester Airport Authority that encloses the old railroad embankment as part of the recently expanded airport grounds.

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Authorized to enter into a Purchase and Sale Agreement with the Manchester Airport Authority for a price not to exceed $700,000 to acquire a parcel of land comprising of a portion of the Manchester to Lawrence Branch Railroad in Manchester and Londonderry.

Ample parking may be available at the nearby North Londonderry School on Sanborn Street when school is not in session.
No other trail facilities were observed in this area!
