USGS Topographic map of Blackmount
The location map shows only the Blackmount Branch as it existed before just abandonment in 1981.
The former Blackmount Station, located on the south side of Blackmount Road is currently used as a private residence. The railroad bed is obviously part of this homeowner's private property. The sawmill likewise apparently uses the railroad bed for log storage purposes.
The Railroad bed is easy to find alongside Route 10 north of Cross Road (a half-mile north of Blackmount Road).

The North Haverhill Post Office is located at the corner of Blackmount Road and Route 10, perhaps a mile west of Blackmount Station.
A gasoline station and convenience store is located on Route 10 a short distance south of Cross Road. Because of its sheer proximity, trail users are likely create a short spur trail from the Rail-trail directly to the store entrance. Toilets and water are available upon request in the convenience store.
