The tracks are used during the warm weather months by privately owned railway maintenance cars operated for recreational purposes under State OHRV law. These tracks are not used by railroad trains and thus completely safe for trail purposes.
Limited Parking is available at Fernald Station. An old fashioned outhouse (painted gray) is located near the back of the long wooden engine shed.
A convenience store is located a quarter mile northwest via Route 109 at the intersection of Route 28.
