Both ends of the Old Danforth Crossing Road were located during a quick trail check on July 24, 2000 but the condition of that road precluded any attempt to check the trail at that crossing. 

Bill Ashton <[email protected]> reported on July 23, 1998 that in the fall of 1997, he was able to use the trail south of Rand Station to all the way to the Massachusetts State Line. The Massachusetts segment of the trail was open to an old wood mill currently being used for wood products on the northern fringe of the Winchenton settlement. However that trail segment was "all dug up, presumedly taking the ties out, but it was passable." He also reports that "One can also ride this line from Gardner (back of the cemetary) to the double bridges in Winchendon, another real nice ride..."

The location of Rand is accepted because its name is identical to the name of the cross road.

The Webmaster discovered during a quick trail check on July 24, 2000 that the NH Bureau of Trails had installed heavy steel gates across the trail at the Rand Road crossing.

'Street-legal' trail users can enter and exit the trail at the following points:

Parking Parking for perhaps two cars (or one with trailer) is available at the Rand Road Crossing.

No other trail facilities were observed in this vicinity!
