USGS Topographic map of Hampstead
USGS Aerial Photograph of Hampstead
The location of the Hampstead Depot was not verified during the trip of August 5, 1998, but it is presumably located just west of the Route 121 Crossing, a short distance south of Depot Road.
The highway overpass at Route 121 has been replaced by solid fill. Accordingly, the trail rises sharply either side to cross the road at grade with slopes that are not ADA compliant. An old paved road that provides a suitable ramp from the trail to the highway noted running west of Route 121 just north of the crossing. Depot Road running east of Danville Road a short distance north of the railroad bed should be suitable for bypass purposes.
Simple trail access is presumably available at the at the following road crossings:
A NH-DOT Bike Route turns at the intersection a short distance east of the Depot Road Crossing, running south on Kents Farm Road and west on Little Mill Road.
Limited trail parking may be available along the old paved road running west of Route 121 just north of the crossing.
