This location is particularly difficult to identify since the railroad bridge and the associated 1.1 miles of track between Franklin Jct. and Franklin Falls was abandoned in 1942. The junction was probably located about 0.2 mile south of a  privately owned white gazebo that is visible from both the highway and the trail. Note that the abandoned bridge abutments are behind the gazebo.
