USGS Topographic map of Gilboa
Site of Gilboa Station. Digital photograph by Kenyon F. Karl on July 6, 1998.
Spot checks made on July 6, 1998 suggests that the trail is open and usable in both directions from the Mt. Gilboa Road crossing.
Trail users can enter and exit the trail at the following locations:
Indian Arrowhead Forest Preserve is a 282 acre tract of land that is protected by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests that is adjacent to the Rail-trail just northwest of the Route 12 underpass. The public entrance is at the SPNHF sign on Route 12 across from Deano's Truck Caps. Note however that this entrance may be inaccessible from the rail-trail as it passes under the highway in a deep cut. Bikes are not allowed past the entrance. [adapted from SPNHF Lands Map & Guide, 3rd edition 8/98, #81]
No other trail facilities were visible in the vicinity of the trail!
Sign images are from the Manual of Traffic Signs by Richard C. Moeur.
