Topo map from TopoZone Web Site USGS Topographic map of Mt. Madison Springs

This Station was apparently nothing more than a rural flag stop. This location may not be accessible today due to the construction of the Gorham Heights Subdivision or the lack of maintenance of the road shown on the maps.

It is presumed that no trail facilities exist at this rather isolated location.

It is true, this area is not accessible by car.  There is an interesting abandoned industry there though.  There are several (4) bridges between Dolly Copp and RT 2 all are walkable but not rideable by bike.

I am from Mystic, CT but have vacationed in this area over the past few years.  I have explored most of the RR in the area.

Mr. Roy mentions the Mount Madison Spring Bottling Plant located along the old B&M line to Gorham. An interesting site with a nice writeup in the book The Androscoggin River Valley.
